We discovered this original rear sight on a Smith & Wesson 320 revolving rifle a number of years ago. The replacement parts inventory from the Smith and Wesson Factory was released in a collection that includes a sizeable amount of them. Bins upon bins of New Old Stock components were there, some dating as far back as S&W No. 1, 2nd Issue Revolvers from the 1860s. But the majority of it dates from the early to mid-20th century. There was so much of it that these guys were having trouble identifying it all and a gunsmith friend of mine was helping them out. they are impossible to find and production was extremely limited. This sight was the only one they had. Aside from being in storage for over 100+ years and coming into contact with other parts, it was almost brand new, having never been installed on a gun. Smith and Wesson only produced 977 Model 320 Revolving Rifles. Here is a once-in-a-lifetime chance to pick up one up..

This is a Smith and Wesson Model 559 in brilliant and all-unique condition. A creation run of only 10,609 of these guns ran somewhere in the range of 1981 and 1982. The Model 559 highlighted a machined carbon steel edge and slide, a production line matte blue or nickel-plated finish, a 4" inch barrel left "in the white", a slide-mounted decocker, flexible battle style iron sights with defensive ears at the back, a 14-shot super load magazine, an oval-formed trigger gatekeeper, a serrated back grasp lash with a cord circle, and checkered dark plastic holds. The Model 559 ended up being a wonderful weapon, very much made, solid, sturdy, exact, and simple to work. The drag in this Model 559 is reflect brilliant and awesome. The rifling actually shows impeccably characterized sharp terrains and depressions all through the barrel and there are no apparent defects or wear.
